Hydra Fuzz - Tonebender


The Hydra Fuzz is Based on the Sola Sound Tonebender™ 3-knob. It includes charge pump circuitry to make powering of the effect simple (doesnt not require its own positive ground power source). Small enough in size to fit a 1590b enclosure.

•   PCB Components
"PCB Components" includes all onboard components you need to build the "Hydra Fuzz" (resistors, capacitors, diode, chargepump) but does not include germanium transistors (see below). Battery snap is included as well as 6 lenghts of wire. Also includes, LED, current limiting resistor ("medium" brightness) and plastic bezel for mounting the led to an enclosure.

•   9mm Potentiometer
Add 9mm Alpha metal shaft potentiometers to your kit! Values included are from the Bill of Materials (link below). A Bourns trimpot is also included with the 3 pots.


•   Germanium Transistor Set
Measured Tonebender germanium transistor set selected for this project






•   Mono Jacks (2 of)
!! Due to stock scarcity Nuetrik mono jacks may be sent in place of lumberg mono jacks !!
"Compact Mono Jacks (2of)" include 2 Lumberg compact mono jacks with your kit. These jacks are small in size, a good choice for tight builds and beginners but can be used for any build. Please note you will need a stereo jack if you plan to power your effect with a battery. (Stereo jacks are available in the hardware section of this store).





•   Miniature DC Jack
These DC jacks are very small and are suitable for any build not using a battery / battery switching. Especially good for 1590a builds as they are very compact.



•   Knobs

What else do i need to complete this project?

You will need an enclosure and a 3pdt footswitch (also available on the site under the "enclosures" catergory) to complete this project, if you order all available kit component options above.
